An Adorable Arrival
The ABQ BioPark in Albuquerque, New Mexico, just welcomed a tiny but mighty additionâa critically endangered ocelot kitten. Born to the proud nine-year-old mama, Lucy, this little bundle of spots is already stealing hearts and proving that cuteness runs in the family. Lucy's no stranger to motherhood, having previously raised two adorable ocelot daughters, Milla and Leeloo, back in 2019.
With fewer than 100 ocelots left in the U.S., this kitten's arrival is a big win for the species. While the baby ocelot is busy napping and plotting its future mischief, the BioPark team is celebrating the hope this new life brings to the conservation effort. It's officialâLucyâs got this whole "saving the species" thing down.

Cats of the Day: Jasper and Jasmine
Meet Jasper, the distinguished gentleman of the household, and Jasmine, the mischievous little newcomer who wiggled her way into his heart. It wasn't long ago that Jasper was giving her the side-eye, but now these two are thick as thieves, sharing cuddle sessions that could melt even the grumpiest catâs heart.

How You Can Help Endangered Big Cats
Saving endangered big cats might sound like a job for a superhero, but it turns out you donât need a cape or claws to help out these majestic felines. Start by supporting conservation effortsâthis could mean donating to organizations that protect habitats or even âadoptingâ a big cat. No, you wonât need a giant litter box; itâs more about sending some funds their way so they can stay wild and free.
Another way to pitch in is by spreading awareness. You can educate others about the plight of big cats through social media, where you can swap your usual selfies for some roaring support. And if you're feeling extra adventurous, you could plan a trip to an ethical wildlife reserve, where you can channel your inner David Attenborough and learn how to help big cats thrive in their natural habitats. Just remember, while these cats might be bigger than your average house kitty, theyâre still very much in need of a helping paw.
