The Amazing Acrocats

The Amazing Acrocats, a circus of rescued and formerly stray cats, rolled into Richmond, Virginia, for a unique purr-formance. For five fur-filled days, these whiskered wonders took over the Gottwald Playhouse, showing off their incredible skills—riding skateboards, leaping through hoops, and even jamming out in a band called Tuna and the Rock Cats. Yes, you read that right—these cats actually played instruments, proving that they're not just pretty paws.

But it wasn’t all just cat-tastic entertainment; this event had a heartwarming twist. The tour supported Rock Cats Rescue, a nonprofit with a mission to save cats through education, training, rescue, and adoption. So, not only were these talented felines dazzling the crowd, but they were also making the world a better place for their fellow furry friends.

Tuna Training Treats

Looking to turn your cat into a well-behaved superstar? Whip up some tuna training treats that’ll have your feline friend jumping through hoops—or at least pawing at them. These simple treats are so irresistible, that even the pickiest kitty will be purring for more.

Ingredients:

  • 10 oz tuna in water, undrained

  • 1 egg, beaten

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

  2. Pour the undrained can of tuna into a food processor and blend until finely chopped.

  3. Transfer the tuna into a mixing bowl along with the egg and flour. Mix until a dough is formed. If the dough is too dry, add a little more water. If it’s too wet, add a little more flour.

  4. Lightly flour your work surface and roll the dough out until it’s about ¼ inch thick.

  5. With a small cookie cutter or knife, cut out bite-sized treats. The treats should measure ¾ inch or smaller.

  6. Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the treats onto it.

  7. Bake the treats for 20 minutes or until golden brown.

  8. Allow the tuna treats to cool completely before serving to your feline friends.

Some of the Best Credit Cards for Balance Transfers

Did you know some credit cards can actually help you get out of debt faster? Yes, it sounds crazy. But it’s true. The secret: Find a card with a “0% intro APR" period for balance transfers. Then, transfer your debt balance and pay it down as much as possible during the intro period. No interest means you could pay off the debt faster.

Training Multiple Cats

Starting the training journey with multiple cats can feel almost impossible, but don’t fret—there’s a method to the madness. Whether you're wrangling a duo or a clowder, clicker training multiple cats is a wild ride with plenty of potential for chaos and cuteness. You might wonder if it’s better to train them separately or let them learn together. Both approaches have their perks, but one thing's for sure: a little planning goes a long way in keeping your feline classroom from turning into a furry free-for-all.

If separating your cats feels like you're breaking up a power duo, don’t worry. Training them together is possible with a few clever tricks. Think of your cats as students in a classroom—each with their own desk (or elevated seat) and a keen eye on the teacher. Start simple with food puzzles to keep them focused, and gradually introduce them to the idea of staying in their spots while the other gets a turn to shine. It’s a bit like teaching a room full of toddlers to take turns but with more whiskers and fewer tantrums.

For those with a whole squad of cats or a pair that doesn’t always see eye-to-eye, clicker training can still work wonders. By reinforcing each cat’s behavior with positive reinforcement, you can teach even the most stubborn kitty to stay put while their sibling practices their tricks. With a bit of patience and a lot of treats, your multi-cat training sessions might just become the cutest classroom in town.

Whiskey: The Tangible Asset for Your Portfolio

Most people fail to diversify their investments.

They invest all their money in intangible assets like stocks, bonds, and crypto.

Whiskey is a tangible asset, providing a unique appeal compared to other investments. Casks of whiskey have measurable attributes like size, age, and weight, making their value indisputable. This physical nature allows for clear identification of issues and adjustments to safeguard future value.

Vinovest’s expertise in managing these tangible assets ensures your whiskey casks are stored and insured to the highest standards, enhancing their worth over time.
