Trail Camera Helps Reunite Cat and Owner

While on a trip to Colorado, Teagan got the call every cat parent dreads—her cat, Moose, had escaped back home in San Diego. The family dog had accidentally opened the door, and Moose slipped out into the night. Teagan flew home immediately, unsure if she’d ever see her again.

Moose had been adopted from a Santa Cruz shelter as a scared kitten, but quickly became Teagan’s beloved ā€œadventure cat,ā€ joining her and her partner on road trips in their camper. Losing her was devastating. For 45 days, they left food, laundry, litter, and set traps—but Moose kept her distance. Cameras showed her passing by several times, but never close enough to catch.

Then, on Moose’s second birthday, the impossible happened. She was finally inside one of the traps. Teagan rushed outside, brought her in, and watched her slowly realize she was safe. Within minutes, Moose relaxed and started to purr.

Moose had fleas and was thinner, but she was alive and home. After six long weeks, Teagan could finally breathe again: ā€œEverything makes sense again,ā€ she said.

Meet Cat of the Day, Flea

Meet Flea, a tiny but mighty 6-week-old rescue with a big personality! Found on a farm after her momma went hunting and didn’t return, this little fluffball has quickly made herself right at home.

Flea loves to curl up for naps right on her human’s chest, purring her heart out before zooming around the house in bursts of kitten energy.

Though small in size, Flea has filled her home with joy, proof that sometimes the tiniest rescues leave the biggest paw prints.

Your Data Should Be Yours

Those constant spam calls and scammy texts aren’t random—they’re often signs that personal data has been exposed. That can include your phone number, email, home address, or even your SSN.

Cloaked shows you what information has been leaked with a free scan, then helps you remove it and take back control of your privacy. Simple, secure, and surprisingly empowering.

What to Know Before Leaving Cats Solo

Planning a vacation? If you’re a cat parent, you’ve probably wondered how long your cat can be left alone. In general, healthy adult cats can handle 24–36 hours solo with food, water, and a clean litter box. But younger kittens, senior cats, or those on medication may need more frequent care.

Kittens under a year often need multiple check-ins a day. Older cats might hide symptoms of illness, so even a short absence could be risky without a sitter. If your cat has medical needs, talk to your vet about what kind of care is safest during your trip.

Cats may seem independent, but many feel lonely when left alone for too long. Changes in eating, grooming, or behavior can be signs they’re missing you. To help, consider a trusted cat sitter or friend to visit or even stay overnight. For some cats, boarding might work, but others prefer the comfort of home.

The key is knowing your cat’s routine and personality. Whether you choose a sitter, a camera setup, or a boarding facility, a little planning goes a long way in keeping your cat content while you’re away.
