Meet the Kittens Predicting the Big Game
With the Super Bowl just around the corner, predictions are flying, and two kittens decided to add their own. Ramen and Chimichanga were tasked with picking winners for the AFC and NFC championships using a process that involved sniffing, pouncing, and walking away mid-decision.
For the AFC Championship, both kittens showed the most interest in the Denver Broncos. After several investigative sniffs and a decisive paw tap, the Broncos earned their approval.
The NFC Championship pick leaned toward the Seattle Seahawks. Chimichanga immediately claimed their spot, while Ramen confirmed the choice by flopping down nearby — a move widely recognized as a final decision in kitten analysis.
No stats were consulted, no expert breakdowns reviewed. Just instincts, curiosity, and confidence. Whether the picks hold up or not, Ramen and Chimichanga proved one thing: sometimes the boldest predictions come from the smallest analysts.

Are Laser Toys Safe for Cats?
Laser pointers are a popular way to get indoor cats moving. With a quick flick of the wrist, cats sprint, leap, and chase with impressive focus. For many cats, this kind of fast-paced play taps into natural hunting instincts and offers much-needed exercise.
The challenge is that laser play never ends with a catch. Some cats handle this just fine, staying playful and relaxed once the light disappears. Others can become overly fixated, watching walls, floors, and reflective surfaces long after the game ends. This behavior is more likely in younger cats or those with high prey drive.
Experts suggest the key is how laser play is managed. Ending each session with a physical reward helps prevent frustration. Switching from the laser to a toy, treats, or food allows cats to complete the hunt and disengage calmly.
Laser toys are not inherently bad, but they are not ideal for every cat. When used sparingly and paired with tangible rewards, they can be a helpful enrichment tool. Without that balance, some cats may struggle to settle, turning playtime into lingering stress instead of fun.
