Meet Ozzy, The Cat Who Never Slows Down

Ozzy arrived in his new home with zero hesitation: purring, eating, and acting like he’d been there forever. His wobbly walk didn’t slow him down for a second, and the resident cats quickly realized he was something special. Even the shy and the skeptical eventually warmed up to his confidence and charm.

As he grew, Ozzy faced mobility challenges, seizures, and tough vet conversations. But his family saw the spark in him (the curiosity, the determination, the absolute joy) and chose to give him every chance to thrive. Seven years later, that decision has shaped a life overflowing with adventure.

Ozzy now spends his days exploring parks, rolling through the catio, taking stroller rides, and using a custom walker built just for him. He keeps a full schedule of beach days, porch lounging, and demanding snacks with enthusiasm.

His body may wobble, but his happiness is rock solid, and his family wouldn’t change a thing.

The Secret To A Perfect Cat Recall

Most cats already know how to “come when called”. They just do it when they hear a treat bag instead of their name. The goal is turning that natural excitement into a real recall cue.

Pick your call, whether it’s their name or a simple “Here, kitty.” Stand beside your cat, say the cue, then immediately crinkle the treat bag and reward. Once they link the sound to the reward, add a little distance. Call, crinkle, reward. Keep stretching the distance as they get more consistent.

Next, practice in different rooms or with mild distractions. If there are two people in the home, take turns calling your cat back and forth to make it a fun game.

Sessions should stay short, upbeat, and reward-heavy. Always treat your cat when they come, even if they take their time. Trust builds repetition, and repetition builds a reliable recall.

5 Billion Pounds of Cat Litter Ends Up in Landfills Each Year

Most traditional cat litters are made from strip-mined clay or silica. Both end up in landfills when thrown away and are not biodegradable.

A new natural cat litter called Tailfeather is changing this with their eco-friendly, plant-based, clumping cat litter made from coconut and cassava.

Why coconut? The husk of the coconut absorbs liquid up to 9 times its weight! This makes for a soft, luxurious litter that cats love and is 70% lighter than traditional litter, but also doesn't track and bounce out of the box.

It's fully biodegradable and 100% plastic-free, including the packaging. Tailfeather is delivered conveniently to your door, and each package lasts for 8 weeks, double the amount of other litters.

Breed Spotlight: Singapura

If you’ve ever wished your cat could stay kitten-sized forever, meet the Singapura, one of the smallest cat breeds in the world. Most adults weigh just four to eight pounds, but don’t let their size fool you. Beneath that silky sepia coat is a muscular, athletic cat with wide eyes, big ears, and a bigger personality.

Singapuras are social, curious, and famously people-oriented. They love exploring the house, following their humans from room to room, and learning simple tricks. They’re confident around other pets and typically warm up to new people faster than most cats.

Their coat is short and easy to maintain, and while they don’t have special dietary needs, they can be prone to weight gain as they age. A high-quality, high-protein diet helps keep them in shape.

Originating from street cats in Singapore, the breed earned national-mascot status and even a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records for being the smallest domestic cat. For cat lovers who adore tiny, friendly, intelligent companions, the Singapura is a standout.
