Did You Know?

Cats can make a “silent meow” that only ___ can hear.

This Aussie Farm Cat Thinks He’s a Dog

In the rugged Australian outback, a ginger cat named Mango is proving that not all cats sleep the day away. Living on a 130,000-acre cattle station in western Queensland, Mango spends his days riding shotgun on trucks and ATVs, helping his human, Beck Smith, and her team of Border Collies muster cattle across the plains.

Beck never planned to share her life online, but when she began posting clips of Mango’s adventures, the cat’s dog-like work ethic and charm caught global attention. Between mustering runs and social media fame, Mango has become an unexpected ambassador for life on remote farms.

The attention has also helped Beck open conversations about mental health and resilience in rural communities, topics often left unspoken in the farming world.

Mango may be small, but his impact stretches far beyond the outback fence line, proof that even one cat can change the conversation.

How To Know If Your House Smells Like Cat Pee

If you’ve lived with cats, you know “nose blindness” is real. You might not notice the smell anymore, but visitors will. Sometimes it takes a fresh nose (or a friend’s polite pause at the door) to realize it’s lingering.

A faint ammonia scent, damp patches that never quite dry, or litter that falls apart instead of clumping are all signs your litter isn’t keeping up. Cats are naturally clean animals, and if the litter doesn’t clump or cover well, they often stop trying to bury their waste, making odors even harder to control.

Look for one that clumps quickly, locks in odor, and absorbs moisture before it spreads. Natural materials can help your cat dig and cover comfortably, mimicking their natural instincts while keeping the box (and your home) fresher.

Cats (and Humans) Love This New Litter

Most traditional cat litters are made from strip-mined clay or silica. Both end up in landfills when thrown away and are not biodegradable.

A new natural cat litter called Tailfeather is changing this with their eco-friendly, plant-based, clumping cat litter made from coconut and cassava.

Why coconut? The husk of the coconut absorbs liquid up to 9 times its weight! This makes for a soft, luxurious litter that cats love and is 70% lighter than traditional litter, but also doesn't track and bounce out of the box.

It's fully biodegradable and 100% plastic-free, including the packaging. Tailfeather is delivered conveniently to your door, and each package lasts for 8 weeks, double the amount of other litters.

Meet Cat of the Day, Georgia

Meet Georgia, a true Southern belle with charm to spare! Named after her beautiful home state, this lovely huntress keeps busy chasing lizards, stalking bugs, and giving her bird toys a good thrashing.

But don’t let her wild side fool you, Georgia is as affectionate as they come. She loves curling up on laps and chests, kneading away until she drifts off to sleep.

Whether she’s hunting or snuggling, Georgia wins everyone over instantly. Sweet, social, and full of personality, she’s the heart of her home and truly everybody’s favorite.
