When a kitten named Meow Meow joined the family, his human sister was just a toddler. Over the next 17 years, the two were inseparable. So when Meow Meow got seriously ill years ago, his sister made a heartfelt request: please don’t leave until she graduated high school.

He listened. And this month, just days before her graduation, they posed together for a cap and gown photo shoot—him in his own miniature regalia.

“He has held on for this moment,” their mom shared. “He deserves to graduate, too.”

Meow Meow recently turned 17, and the family celebrated both milestones with photos, cuddles, and a little birthday party. After a lifetime of love, it was one more beautiful moment to share.
