• Almonds

• 3 tbsp whipping cream

• 1 tsp vanilla extract

• 1 cup confectioner's sugar

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

2. Mix the flour, baking powder, and flour in a small bowl and set aside.

3. Combine the butter, honey, sugar, egg, and vanilla in a large mixing bowl. Add the buttermilk and mix well.

4. Grease a donut pan and spoon the batter into the pan.

5. Bake for about 7 minutes.

6. Allow the donuts to cool in the pan for 1 minute before flipping the pan over and transferring the donuts to a cooling rack.

7. Whisk together the whipping cream and vanilla extract. Add the confectioner’s sugar until smooth.

8. Divide the glaze into as many bowls as you want. Each bowl can be dyed with a few drops of food coloring. A small bowl should be dyed black for the eyes and noses of the kitties.

9. Cut small slits into each donut and insert two almonds to create ears.

10. Drizzle the glazes onto the donuts in patches, spots, or stripes. Create any coat pattern you like.

11. Dip a toothpick into the black glaze to draw on details such as the eyes and noses.

12. Allow the glaze to set for about 20 minutes before serving your kitty-inspired donuts to your favorite humans.
