Meet Juno, The Cat Who Steals Everything
Juno arrived as a tiny orphaned kitten with big opinions and even bigger energy. Outdoor adventures helped her settle into home life, but they also unlocked a new hobby: bringing home anything she could carry. The first items seemed random. Then the numbers climbed, and kept climbing.
By the end of 2019, her haul hit 132 items, and today her collection has passed 1,800, from gloves and socks to tools and toys. Instead of being annoyed, neighbors fell in love with her quirky talent, even nominating her for honorary mayor during the pandemic.
Her fame turned into something meaningful, too. Juno used her “finds” to raise awareness and funds for shelters, including donating $1 per rag during a Giving Tuesday campaign. She even has her own line of merch inspired by her klepto adventures.
Why does she do it? No one can say for sure. But Juno’s treasure hunts, and the joy they bring, have turned her into one of West LA’s most unforgettable cats.

Cats Want These 5 Things
Cats can be picky about a lot of things, and litter is one of them. Here are five things that cats are looking for when it comes to doing their business:
A Soft Texture: Cats prefer litter that is soft on their paws and more closely resembles natural dirt or sand - what they would use naturally outdoors.
Low Dust and Tracking: Dusty litter can irritate a cat’s nose and lungs. A low-dust cat litter is gentler. Cats also love to keep things neat and clean (even if sometimes it doesn’t seem that way!) - a low tracking litter reduces scatter.
Odor-Controlling and Unscented: Cats have sensitive noses and dislike artificial fragrances. They often prefer unscented litter that absorbs odors naturally rather than covering them up.
Good Clumping and Absorption: Fast-clumping litter makes it easier for us to scoop waste and control odor, leaving the remaining litter cleaner for longer and our cats happy.
Natural Ingredients: Cats may accidentally ingest litter when grooming. Natural, non-toxic materials like plant-based options can be safer.

Cats (and Humans) Love This New Litter
Most traditional cat litters are made from strip-mined clay or silica. Both end up in landfills when thrown away and are not biodegradable.
A new natural cat litter called Tailfeather is changing this with their eco-friendly, plant-based, clumping cat litter made from coconut and cassava.
Why coconut? The husk of the coconut absorbs liquid up to 9 times its weight! This makes for a soft, luxurious litter that cats love and is 70% lighter than traditional litter, but also doesn't track and bounce out of the box.
It's fully biodegradable and 100% plastic-free, including the packaging. Tailfeather is delivered conveniently to your door, and each package lasts for 8 weeks, double the amount of other litters.

Breed Spotlight: Javanese
If you’ve ever wanted a cat who feels like a tiny roommate with lots to say, the Javanese fits the bill. These sleek, expressive cats aren’t just pretty. They’re constant companions who narrate their day, follow you around, and treat every room like a personal stage.
Their energy is half the fun. Javanese cats love heights, love puzzles, and love being part of whatever you’re doing. A quiet home becomes livelier overnight when one moves in, but never in a chaotic way. They just have a talent for making ordinary moments feel more connected.
Despite all that personality, they’re surprisingly low-maintenance. Their silky coats need light brushing, and their social nature makes training (and bonding) come naturally.
Families who enjoy playful, people-oriented pets tend to fall fast. The Javanese brings warmth, humor, and a little well-placed drama to everyday life, making them the kind of cat who doesn’t just live with you, but lives alongside you.
