The Purr-fect Costume
This Halloween, Skippy the adorable little black kitty with dwarfism is here to steal the show in his dragon costume. Sporting a pair of tiny wings, Skippy pranced around his house like a feline fire-breather, much to the delight of his social media followers. His charming video has taken social media by storm, racking up over a million views. It seems that every cat lover out there agrees that Skippy is the true star of Halloween.
The inspiration for Skippy's costume comes from the animated classic How to Train Your Dragon, and let's just say the resemblance to Toothless is spot-on. Commenters couldn't help but declare Skippy the cutest dragon around. While Skippy may have had a bit of trouble navigating in his costume due to his dwarfism, his loving owners reassured everyone that he’s a happy little dragon in no discomfort—just a kitty on a quest for treats.
Get ready to treat yourself to some Halloween fun with these no-bake cookies that look just like adorable black cats. These simple sweets are perfect for cat lovers who enjoy a little spooky sweetness without the hassle of baking. Sorry, kitties, these treats are strictly for human consumption.
Ingredients:
4 marshmallow fudge cookies
8 candy eyes
4 small red candy coated chocolate
4 round chocolate coated cookies
2 tbsp mini chocolate chips
2 tbsp orange candy melts
Instructions:
Cut the round chocolate coated cookies into quarters to make the cats’ ears. Set aside.
Cut two chunks out of the tops of the marshmallow fudge cookies. They should be the same size as the cookie quarters.
Place the chocolate chips into a resealable sandwich bag and do not seal it. Microwave the chocolate chips for 60 seconds at 50% power and knead until smooth.
Using scissors, snip the corner off the sandwich bag and pipe a bit of chocolate onto your cookie quarters. Attach to the marshmallow fudge cookies. You may need to hold the ear in place for a few seconds until the chocolate sets.
Use the rest of the melted chocolate to attach the candy eyes and the red candy for noses.
Place the orange candy melts into another resealable sandwich bag and do not seal it. Again, microwave the candy for 60 seconds at 50% power and knead until smooth.
Snip the corner of the bag and pipe the candy onto the cookies to form the cats’ whiskers.
These adorable kitty-shaped cookies can be kept at room temperature in an airtight container for up to a week.

Halloween Safety for Cats
Halloween is the spookiest time of the year, filled with creepy decorations, ghoulish costumes, and of course, mountains of candy. But while we humans are busy conjuring up festive fun, we must remember that our feline friends may not appreciate the ghostly shenanigans as much as we do. To keep Halloween a treat rather than a trick for our cats, the experts have shared some purr-fectly essential tips to keep them safe and stress-free.
First off, watch where you put those Halloween decorations. Fake spider webs may look festive, but if your curious kitty decides to take a nibble, it could spell disaster. And while you're busy knocking on doors for candy, make sure that bowl of sweets is well out of your cat's reach. Remember, chocolate is a no-no for furry friends! For the socially anxious cats, creating a cozy retreat away from the hustle and bustle can be a lifesaver, complete with a litter box and snacks.
And while dressing up is all the rage for humans, most cats would rather be themselves than don a costume. If they’re open to the idea, ensure their outfit is as comfy as a purring pillow, with no choking hazards in sight. Finally, keep an eye on community cats too, because Halloween can be a busy night, and a quick head count after the festivities will help ensure everyone is accounted for. With a little preparation, you and your furry friends will be able to enjoy a paws-itively safe Halloween.
Halloween Cat Names
If you're searching for a purr-fectly spook-tacular name for your feline companion this Halloween, you're in for a treat with plenty of options. How about calling your cat “Binx” after the charming black feline from Hocus Pocus? Or perhaps “Blade” for the kitty with a knack for stealthy midnight prowls? For those cats that can’t resist a bit of mischief, “Boogey” or “Trick” might be just right. Whether you choose “Broomstick” for your high-flying furball or “Zombie” for the cat that seems to rise from the dead at 3 a.m., these names are sure to bring a touch of Halloween magic to your household.
