True or False?
A catās fur color can affect its personality.

Why Your Cat Isnāt Using The Litter Box
When a cat suddenly stops using the litter box, itās rarely random. One of the most common culprits is medical trouble, especially urinary discomfort or stress-driven inflammation. Cats often try to pee anywhere that feels safer or softer when the box becomes linked to pain.
Environment plays a huge role, too. In multi-cat homes, quiet access to resources matters, and a confident cat can easily block another from the box. Even in single-cat homes, small changes like new detergents, visitors, tension, or a box thatās too small can make the setup feel āwrongā to a sensitive feline.
Sometimes the litter itself is the issue. Strong scents, rough textures, shallow depth, or a box that isnāt cleaned often enough can send cats searching for a softer alternative, like laundry or rugs.
The simplest fix? Make the litter box feel safe again: multiple boxes, bigger spaces, low-dust litter, and a calm environment. A comfortable, cat-approved litter can be the difference between daily frustration and a happy, predictable routine.

Breed Spotlight: Raas
The Raas cat isnāt a breed most people in the U.S. will ever meet in person. Native to a small Indonesian island, these cats were only recently domesticated, which gives them a wonderfully wild spark, along with a few challenges. Theyāre big, athletic, and incredibly smart, and they bond deeply once they trust you.
Raas kittens start out shy and observant, but once they warm up, theyāre affectionate and endlessly curious. They thrive on mental stimulation, so puzzle toys, climbing spaces, and daily play are must-haves. Without enough activity, a Raas cat will find its own entertainment⦠usually by dismantling whatever isnāt nailed down.
Theyāre also sensitive to strangers. Early socialization helps, but families with young kids may want a more laid-back breed. Grooming is simple thanks to their short coats, though their high energy means regular nail trims are a good idea.
Raas cats are rare, striking, and full of personality. Perfect for an experienced cat parent looking for a companion thatās as clever as they are beautiful.

A Spicy Kitten Who Just Needed Love
Shelter life can turn even the friendliest cat into a bundle of nerves, and Chester Cheeto arrived with the spiciest little scowl. The orange kitten sat stiff and grumpy behind his kennel door until someone finally reached out with gentle affection. The moment he realized he was safe, everything in him softened.
A volunteer began visiting him daily, offering slow pets and patience. Chester leaned in, blinked softly, and let out a tiny purr that proved his tough exterior was only fear in disguise. With love, he quickly became a total sweetheart.
Like many shelter kittens, Chester was battling panleukopenia, a severe viral illness that often hits the youngest cats the hardest. Despite every effort, he passed away just days after finding comfort, but he did so feeling warm, cared for, and safe.
His short life is already shaping the next chapter. The same volunteer is now caring for another spicy kitten, determined to show her the same patience and tenderness.
Chester reminded everyone of a simple truth: even the spiciest cats bloom when someone finally sees them.
