How a Motorcyclist Saved a Kitten's Life
Earlier this month, Diego was riding his motorcycle home from work when he noticed traffic backed up in the left lane of a busy highway. He eased past the stopped cars and spotted what looked like a plastic bag near the shoulder.
Diego realized the "trash" was actually a kitten, stranded in the middle of traffic. He didn't stop to think. He pulled onto the shoulder, ran back into the lane while another driver held traffic, and scooped the kitten up. He later called it the slowest sprint of his life. Once he was back on his bike, he checked the kitten over and found no injuries at all. His best guess was a low tumble from somewhere like an engine bay, not a fall from a moving car. For the rest of the ride home, he kept one hand on the handlebars and the kitten tucked calm inside his jacket.
Diego named him Lucky. The first few hours were rocky. Lucky bolted for a closet and hissed every time Diego came to check on him. Diego kept coming back anyway, once an hour, until the hissing stopped and Lucky finally let himself be held.
Lucky is fully part of the family now. The fastest convert in the house wasn't Diego. It was his daughter, Allison, whose first word most mornings quietly switched from "Mommy" to "kitty."

Easy Tricks to Keep Cat Odor Out of Your Living Room
Cats are tidy by nature. They groom themselves constantly and rarely make a mess on purpose. Still, plenty of cat owners worry about guests walking in and catching a whiff of something less than fresh.
The fix usually comes down to a few consistent habits rather than one big overhaul:
Vacuum regularly to clear out loose fur before it settles into furniture and carpet
Scoop the litter box daily and use a clumping litter in a low traffic spot
Skip heavy perfumes, since strong fragrances tend to clash with cat smell rather than cover it
Keep something running quietly in the background to handle the air between cleanings
Wash your cat's bedding on the same schedule as your own
A little consistency goes a long way, and your cat never has to know the difference.

Are Candles Safe For Your Cat?
We love our cats, but let's be honest: sometimes they can bring some unwanted smells. For many pet parents, keeping their home fresh while managing pet odors can be a challenge. The problem? Traditional air fresheners and candles are often filled with artificial ingredients that can be unsafe for cats.
That’s why we love Aera. Unlike typical air fresheners or candles, Aera’s True Loves line has diffusers and fragrances designed with pets in mind. Their one-of-a-kind formula transforms odors into fresh scents while keeping your furry friends safe.
What sets Aera apart:
Eliminates smells instead of just masking them
Hypoallergenic and safe for pets and children
Scents last up to 3 months (five times longer than traditional air fresheners)
Fragrances like Alpine Cedar, Amber Skies, Ocean Breeze, and Wildrose Rains
Set schedules and control fragrance strength using the Aera app
Aera diffusers provide a safer way to keep your home smelling fresh without compromising your pets’ health.
Through the end of this month only, Daily Purr readers can enjoy free shipping on their first order. Available in two diffusers: The Aera Mini for smaller rooms and the Aera Diffuser for larger spaces.
Create a fresher, pet-safe home today with Aera’s odor-fighting diffusers and fragrances.

Meet Cat of the Day, Sanda
Meet Sanda, a beautiful tortie submitted by Daily Purr reader Sara.
Sara says Sanda is the cutest and softest kitty, and this sunny window photo makes it easy to believe. Calm, cozy, and perfectly posed, Sanda looks like she knows exactly where the best spot in the house is.
With her sweet face and soft tortie coat, Sanda is a little ray of sunshine all on her own.
