The Tiny Beach Kitten Who Stole Hearts
A beach stroll in Barbados turned unforgettable when a family followed faint meows to a tiny ginger kitten alone in the sand. Barely four weeks old, she melted their hearts instantly.
They brought her home, bathed her, and took her for a vet check before officially naming her Gingerbread, spunky yet sweet. Within a day, she proved herself a master of mischief, disappearing into the sofa and sparking a frantic search.
Though they searched for her original family, no clues emerged. In just two weeks, Gingerbread claimed the home as her own, forming an inseparable bond with the family’s youngest daughter.
From sunny windowsills to playful sprints, she’s brought joy, warmth, and a reminder that sometimes the best companions arrive by surprise.

Meet Cat of the Day, Radar
Meet Radar, a resilient tuxedo cat with one eye, three legs, and a spirit that won’t quit. Christine first met him as a tiny 5-week-old stray with nerve damage to his front leg. After surgery to remove the leg and a short foster stay, she knew she couldn’t let him go, so Radar officially became family.
Life threw him another challenge when a visiting dog caused an injury that led to the loss of his eye. Despite arthritis, Radar continues to thrive with plenty of love, treats, and the occasional chauffeured ride from his devoted humans.
Recently, Radar enjoyed his first pontoon boat outing, complete with a bright yellow life jacket. He soaked up the sun and lake breeze, proving he’s always ready for new adventures.

Can Cats Eat Fruit?
Cats are obligate carnivores, so meat should make up almost all of their diet, but a few fruits can be safe as occasional treats. Always check with your vet before trying new foods, and introduce them slowly in small portions.
Feline-approved options include apples (no seeds or core), blueberries, cantaloupe, coconut, watermelon, strawberries, bananas, pumpkin, pineapple, and kiwi. Remove seeds, stems, rinds, and peels before serving, and stick to bite-sized pieces. Most cats can’t taste sweetness, so don’t be surprised if they’re more interested in batting fruit around than eating it.
Avoid grapes, raisins, citrus, and avocado; they can be toxic or cause digestive trouble. And remember: fruit should be only a tiny fraction of a cat’s diet, far less than 10% of their daily calories.
